Platform: Windows and PS4 Type of Game: Survival Horror Game Modes: Single, Multiplayer (host your own server) Difficulty: Normal
Heard about this is a wonderful game made by Endnight Games from a friend and fellow caster, after checking out the trailer, which I think is good, I put it on my steam wishlist with the intent of purchasing it as soon as possible when I have the money, I'm so glad I bought it, let's start at the begging your a normal person on an Air-plane with his child, until something happens and the Air-plane crashes, you regain consciousness long enough to see your child taken away by someone and then you pass out. (article continues below)

Now this is where the game play begins, you awake again and no sign of the child, no other passengers, you seem to be the sole survivor of the crash, looking round you'll find many helpful items in and surrounding the Air-plane, The Forest is a first person open world survival video game so it's as you could expect, you go round collecting supplies to help you survive, there is so much more to it, not only do you have to survive, you have a list of things to do, which you can find in your survival book, one of those to do things is find Timmy, I think it's great that you can decide to do this straight away or ignore it totally and just hunt, build and defend your base if you decide to build one.

as I have mentioned, a friend an fellow streamer put me on to this game and so we got together along with another streamer and set up a multiplayer game and went adventuring after building a base (see above picture) we learned how to build the various things in game along the way, we found cave, encampments and other people....wait there's other people? yes all will seem quiet till one time your walking through the forest and boom, you'll meet your first hostile, they seem to be some sort of human, the people I was playing the game with thought they were cannibal/mutant things, which is a pretty accurate description, anyway back to adventuring, we soon found many caves and marked them so we could come back, some of the caves contain supplies weapons and many other items that you can use but beware you won't be alone down there, kind of reminds me of the movie The Decent, we even found a yacht which also contained usable items, we also found many clues that lead to either caves or an item we had no idea yet as to what they meant at the time but later found that they may be clues to finding an item that item being a gun which I have yet to obtain.
What else can I say, the ending I found really good it left me trying to figure out what was happening and discussing it with the people I was playing the game with we all have different views on what was happening, I'll let you experience the game for yourself though, so won't say much more about it.
The game is available on PC and PS4 it was in Alpha when I tried it but is now fully released, so there's been a lot of updating and new features added.
When you complete the game you'll unlock an additional mode, a creative mode, which u can build whatever you want instantly and you don't die so you can just focus on building, so if you like building games and survival games I'd give it an 8/10 as it has had replay value.
I will be keeping an eye out for future games from this developer.
